John McClellan... |
|
|
"Keith Adams builds great guitars! The most impressive
characteristic of his instruments is their "singing" voice.
Perfect balance, great voice separation and sustain. I have
played the best instruments in the world (Fleta, Hauser,
Smallman, Marty, Ruck, etc.) and I would put my Adams musically
against any of them.

Chet Atkins in Three Dimensions Vol. 1 & 2 and the newly
released Chet licks DVD (where John uses his Keith Adams guitar

I strive to build guitars with the following
qualities:
All notes play evenly over the entire range of
each string and there is a good balance between
volume to fill a concert hall but without
sacrificing the warmth and intimate voice of the
guitar.
The guitars are resonant and quick to respond
with little force from the fingers.
They can be played very softly with clarity and
sustain which give the player a broader dynamic
range.
The tone should be clear yet warm.
The instruments should be easy and exciting to
play and the overall voice of the instrument
must be beautiful.
