Luthier Keith Adams

"I like to vary the artistic details of each guitar (binding, purfling, rosette, etc.) allowing me some aesthetic freedom in building each instrument. I invite input from clients in order to personalize each guitar to their individual taste."

Roset

Life-Long Passion

Keith Adams acquired his first classical guitar at the age of 16. That guitar sparked a passion for the instrument that only deepened over the next three decades.

Master Craftsman

As a master craftsman, the love of wood and music led him to become a luthier. Each piece of wood is carefully selected for its tonal quality and aesthetic beauty.

Guitar Details

Keith strives to build guitars with the following qualities:

  • All notes play evenly over the entire range of each string and there is a good balance between volume to fill a concert hall but without sacrificing the warmth and intimate voice of the guitar.
  • The guitars are resonant and quick to respond with little force from the fingers.
  • They can be played very softly with clarity and sustain which give the player a broader dynamic range.
  • The tone should be clear yet warm.
  • The instruments should be easy and exciting to play and the overall voice of the instrument must be beautiful.

How to Order

To build an instrument, we require a one hundred and fifty dollar non-refundable deposit. A deposit secures a place on the waiting list and an estimated delivery date. One half of the balance is due when I begin building the guitar and the remaining balance is due upon completion.
